Managerial Economics can be taught to business or engineering students, or those in other fields, who possess little or no background in economics. The subject encompasses a broad spectrum of subjects that are difficult to teach in a single semester, and perhaps even over two semesters. Once factor in determining one’s approach to the study of managerial economics depends on the one’s previous exposure to economics and mathematics. Here it is assumed that student’s have little preparation in economics or mathematics, but that they are sufficiently advanced to obtain the necessary knowledge through self study. An appendix and two videos are recommended that provide the needed mathematical background, regardless of which version of the course is taught.
